The FlexArmor Process
The process for applying FlexArmor is a result of over 15 years of experience and refinement, making it the only tried and true alternative to traditional rubber or fiberglass RV roofs.
Step 1: Intake
Our technicians bring your rig into our prepped bay and complete a preliminary inspection, including skylights, vents, antenna. Any desired aftermarket add-ons are discussed, as well as any special requests such as custom colors or removal of unused components.
Step 2: Surface Prep
We begin by prepping the roof, which includes removing components, stripping caulk, and inspecting for any signs of water damage so we can discuss and provide a repair estimate.
FlexArmor roofs come with new standard vent lids, refrigerator base and lid, new sewer fixtures, and new vent covers.
Step 3: Grinding and Smoothing
We take the time to grind, fill or repair any imperfections in your existing roof to ensure the FlexArmor coating bonds securely and smoothly to your roof.
Step 4: Masking
We then meticulously tape, mask and cover your rig in plastic sheeting to ensure there will be zero overspray.
This process is only available to authorized FlexArmor installers like RV Roof Greensboro and is
what sets us apart from other imitation products.
Step 5: Apply FlexArmor
Our trained technicians apply our proprietary pure polyurea formula, FlexArmor, providing your RV with a seamless, incredibly durable, and worry-free roof.
Step 6: Apply Top Coat
We complete the surface protection by adding a specially formulated topcoat in a bright white finish. The rolled edge can be painted a custom color to match the color scheme of your rig.
Step 7: Remove Masking Materials
Quite possibly the most satisfying part of the process, we remove the masking tape and plastic, revealing the crisp freshly finished surface.
Step 8: Reinstall Roof Components
Our team then reinstalls all roof components such as your AC units, vent lids, vent covers, refrigerator vent covers, antennas, satellites, etc.
FlexArmor installation includes new Max Air covers.
Step 10: Finishing Touches
We meticulously inspect every inch of your RV’s roof and make any final touches necessary.
Another FlexArmor Roof is Born
With the entire process complete, inspected, and guaranteed, we pull your RV out of the bay, ready for pickup.
